The Mix Up Beastie Boys

The Beastie Boys bring their game to this collection of bonus tracks from the Mix Up sessions. These cuts are much in the same vein as the initial release - stomping groovers without much in the way of song structure, just open ended jams with heavy drums and keyboard. The whole collection is sweet but 'The Panda Rat' which was featured in the Adam Yauch doco 'Gunnin' For That #1 Spot' is the real standout performance. Highly recommended for those into the funkier side of the Beastie Boys repertoire.
